Taking place from August 8–15, this year’s Tartuff festival is treating audiences to two extra days—eight days instead of six.

“We’re extending Tartu’s summer and giving the public the chance to enjoy films over two weekends—from Saturday to Saturday,” said Sten Pedari, Tartuff’s new director.

A total of 14 films will be shown on the large outdoor screen at Raekoja plats, and we will also screen documentaries and children’s films at Tartu Elektriteater, with numerous special events on the program.

All screenings are free for viewers.

We will announce the full program in mid-July.

Tartuff is the largest open-air film festival in the Baltics, attracting 12,000 visitors last year.

The festival is presented by the City of Tartu and Elisa.
