"We believe that the Tartuff open-air cinema with its excellent festival audience is a cultural phenomenon that deserves to be presented beyond Tartu. The films themselves are truly special - the kind of films you won't find in commercial cinemas," says Tartuff director Johan Kudu.

The pre-Salli screening on Wednesday 31 July at 10.30 pm will be preceded by a panel discussion on the involvement of private capital in supporting culture, entitled "Spot the cultural supporter". Sweet surprises await the audience. The discussion will be held in Estonian.

Both screenings will have English subtitles. Tickets cost €10.

Telliskivi Outdoor Cinema is located in the new Telliskivi Quarter (Telliskivi 60) and is organised by by Sõprus Cinema and Telliskivi Quarter.

Tartuff takes place from 5 to 10 August at Tartu Town Hall Square and Tartu Elektriteater in Tartu, Estonia.

The festival is a summer sattelite festival of Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and is presented by Elisa.
