Windows of Tartu, My Love
A country boy comes to live in a city where life is exciting and romantic. The young man’s search for his identity takes him wandering along the paths of love, bringing both sadness and joy. As usually happens when the naivety of youth meets the sombre beauty of wisdom of life. This is what Tartu is like – a city where every mysterious window hides someone who is always waiting for someone.
The film uses Gunnar Neeme’s drawings and Bernard Kangro’s poetry. The artist, director and animator of the 8-minute animation made using the cut-out technique is Joosep Sepp whose ‘Windows of Tarty, My Love’ was also his diploma project at the Tartu Art College.
