Every child dreams of a true friend to have fun with and to share their deepest secrets with.

Ten-year-old Martin moves into a new home with his mother. However, he doesn’t have any friends there, so he spends most of his time alone. On the last day of school, Martin’s mother, Maris, asks him to behave well since he is always getting into trouble. Yet, as usual, things will go wrong. Marta, the daughter of the school principal, Roland, has won the hearts of both Martin and Kevin – the latter has a fancy scooter and expensive trainers. Due of their troublesome rivalry, Martin’s mother has to come to the principal’s office again. Unexpectedly, Martin is saved by a shrewd magical cat Nitram, who brings along lots of new adventures.
